Visa Information

Visas to Enter Ireland - Some Information Note for Participants

Everyone entering Ireland must have a valid passport, or in the case of European Union Member States, a national identity card. Visas are required for some countries. Participants from countries listed in annex A below DO NOT CURRENTLY require an entry visa for the Ireland and all others are strongly advised to contact the nearest Irish diplomatic or consular mission as soon as possible in order to secure the required entry visa in a timely manner, prior to departure.  It should be noted that airline companies will not allow boarding in the absence of a valid visa.  The Congress Organising Committee, or its agents, cannot accept any responsibility for visa applications. Where a delegate is unable to attend because of failure to obtain a visa on time, the normal cancellation policy for registration fee will apply.

To facilitate the issuance of visas, the Secretariat will issue upon request invitation letters to be attached to the visa applications.  Participants proposing to come to Ireland via the United Kingdom should remember that they may also require a visa to enter the U.K. if they intend to spend any time there.

Please note the Irish Embassy will only accept a visa letter if it states that the delegate has registered for the congress and has paid their registration fee and accommodation fees in full.
